I Need You Quotes for Her I wonder if you are free tonight, can you come over for dinner I need you tonight my love. My life is incomplete without you I need you in my life for it to be complete. 'I Need You,' released in 1972, is the second single by the band America from their eponymous debut album America. The minute you say goodbye, I start missing you. This June, when you rally around Pride Month, my wish is that you don’t look back at the legislative session and lament what has been taken from this community. We’ve seen this kind of vile rhetoric before. Resource Center has been a home to our community in Dallas for 40 years. No matter what political leaders may throw at us, one thing remains constant: We aren’t going away. They are promoted under the false banner of “safety,” yet serve and protect no one. The point of these bills is to marginalize our community to the point of erasure. Other bills in this legislative hall of shame include a Texas-sized “Don’t Say Gay/Trans” law, bans on Pride, removal of any mention or discussion of LGBTQ identities to Texas schools and the classification of establishments where drag shows take place as sexually oriented businesses. If all of those 79% of Americans who oppose discrimination speak out, these bills would end tomorrow. The LGBTQ+ community cannot defeat this alone. Many of these bills are copy-and-paste legislation that adds up to a wave of anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric designed to keep us on the defensive and further divide this country - and unfortunately, Texas is currently leading the pack with the highest number of bills under consideration. According to the ACLU, more than 430 bills have been introduced in state legislatures nationwide. These well-funded, nationally orchestrated legislative attacks aren’t just a Texas phenomenon. LGBTQ youth have even told us that debate around these bills alone is having a negative impact on their mental health, and the Trevor Project found that 86% of transgender youth reported a negative mental impact because of these bills. We also know they thrive if affirmed in their communities and with access to the healthcare and resources they need. We see firsthand the challenges and exclusion that trans youth often face. ![]() As one of the largest community organizations in Texas that serves transgender youth and their families, we do.
